Wednesday, February 25: Lenten Series on Zoom. Due to ongoing cleanup from the blizzard, our in-person Lenten Supper has been canceled. In its place, we will meet on Zoom for our session this week. We will prayerfully read through the first creation story in Genesis 1:1-2:2, have discussion, and close with Compline. Link will be emailed to congregation list. If you would like to join, please email the priest at revsavannahponder@gmail.com.

For 130 years, the Chapel of St John the Divine has been a place where people find themselves at home in community and ultimately at home in the family of God. While worship and prayer are at the core of who we are, the Chapel is also a family, a home, a hub for community service, and a welcoming space for community gatherings. We actively provide support to the North Kingstown Food Pantry, which serves over 800 families in our town per month. We seek deeper knowledge of God through discussion and study groups, celebrate together, support one another in difficult times, and create a strong and vibrant community.

About: The Chapel of St. John the Divine is an Episcopal church nestled in the quaint village of Saunderstown on Narragansett Bay. Our parishioners come from all over Southern Rhode Island and beyond. Parishioners participate in weekly services, fellowship, and ministries that create a warm sense of family and belonging. The Chapel is a hub of community social life, with its longstanding traditions of the ice cream social along with an annual summer concert of the Lafayette Band, which is always held on the Wednesday evening following the 4th of July and the popular Lobster Lunch in August.

Parking: We do not have a designated parking lot. We are located in the middle of a residential area off Boston Neck Road, down Ferry Road and across Willett Road to Church Way. You may park on the street, but please avoid parking on the Chapel side of Church Way.

Accessibility: We have one handicap-accessible entrance on Church Way, which is labeled. If you are in need of additional accommodations such as larger printed readings or hymns, we are happy to provide that. Please let an usher know.
